Alan Lamb was anAustralian artist, composer, and sound sculptor.
During the early 1970s Lamb studied for a PhD inneurophysiology at theUniversity of Edinburgh.[1]
He is best known for installations of large scaleAeolian harps, such as his albumPrimal Image, which consists ofcontact microphone recordings of kilometre long spans of telegraph wire on 12 acres (49,000 m2) in ruralBaldivis south ofPerth purchased for that purpose.
