Achraf Zouhair Dari (Arabic:أشرف داري; born 6 May 1999) is a Moroccan professionalfootballer who plays as acentre-back forEgyptian Premier League clubAl Ahly. He he also made appearances for theMorocco national team.[3] He started his professional career playing forWydad AC.
Dari represented Morocco at various youth levels, before making his international debut in 2021. He was chosen in Morocco's squads for theFIFA Arab Cup in2021.
Dari began his professional football career withWydad AC. On 31 May 2022, Dari won his first international trophy with Wydad after defeatingAl Ahly 2–0 in2022 CAF Champions League Final.[4][5] On 30 June 2022, Dari was nominated for theCAF inter club player of the year awards.[6]
On 30 July 2022, Dari signed forLigue 1 clubBrest on a four-year contract.[7][8] The transfer fee paid toWydad AC was reported to be in the region of €2.7 million.[9] On 7 August 2022, Dari made his debut againstRC Lens.[10] On 21 August, Dari scored his first professional goal for the club in a 3–1 victory againstAngers SCO.[11][12][13]
On 1 February 2024, Dari joinedCharleroi in Belgium on loan.[14]
On 28 August 2024, Dari joinedEgyptian Premier League clubAl Ahly.[15]
Dari made his debut for theMorocco A' national team in a 1–0 win overSaudi Arabia at the2021 FIFA Arab Cup.[16] On 12 June 2022,Vahid Halilhodžić summoned Dari to theMorocco senior football team.[17][18] He made his debut in a 2–0 victory againstLiberia in the2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification that took place in theStade Mohammed V.[19][20]
In September 2022, Dari was called up to join the Morocco national team to take part infriendly matches againstChile andParaguay.[21][22]
On 10 November 2022, he was named in Morocco's 23-man squad for the2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.[23][24] On 17 December, he scored his first international goal in the World Cup third-place playoff againstCroatia, which ended in a 2–1 defeat.[25]
