Abu Muhsin al-Masri (Arabic:أبو محسن المصري, bornHusam Abd-al-Ra'uf,Arabic:حسام عبد الرؤوف; 1958 – October 2020)[1] was anEgyptian militant and a high-ranking member ofal-Qaeda.[2]

Background

He was added toFBI’s Most Wanted Terrorists List in 2019.[1] He was killed in an operation by theNational Directorate of Security (NDS) in CentralGhazni Province, Afghanistan.[3] Director of US National Counter-Terrorism Center,Chris Miller, confirmed the death of al-Masri.[4] However, theFederal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) declined to issue any statement in relation to the death of al-Masri.[5]
