TheAAMDC gene encodes an AMDC orAdipogenesis Associated Mth938 Domain Containingprotein that is integral to various cellular processes. The protein is involved inlipid metabolism, specificallyadipogenesis, and plays a role insignal transduction as anoncoprotein.[1]
The AAMDC protein is found in both the cytoplasmic and nuclear compartments of the cell.[2]
