TheA342 is anA road in England that runs fromPewsham nearChippenham,Wiltshire toAndover,Hampshire.
The road begins at theA4 junction just outside the small village ofPewsham, to the east of Chippenham. It heads south past the village ofDerry Hill towardsDevizes, briefly meeting theA3102 nearSandy Lane. Just outside Devizes the road meets theA361, and once in the centre of town it meets theA360. Continuing southeast in theVale of Pewsey, under the northern slope ofSalisbury Plain, the road reachesUpavon where it meets theA345 and turns east, over the Plain. After passing throughEverleigh the road meets theA338 before enteringLudgershall and meeting theA3026. The final part of the route travels southeast where the road ends at a roundabout with theA343 andA303 just outside Andover.
