Chevrolet won the manufacturers' championship with 859 points and 12 wins.The2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series was the 30th season of theNASCAR Craftsman Truck Series , astock car racing series sanctioned byNASCAR in the United States. The season started on February 16 with theFresh From Florida 250 atDaytona International Speedway and ended with theNASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship Race on November 8 atPhoenix Raceway .
Ben Rhodes ofThorSport Racing entered the season as the defendingNASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion.[ 1] Christian Eckes claimed the regular season championship. Other confirmed changes [ edit ] On August 23, 2023,GMS Racing announced that they would close down after the 2023 season. Team ownerMaury Gallagher will focus his efforts on the Cup Series team that he co-owns withJimmie Johnson ,Legacy Motor Club , starting in 2024. GMS fielded three full-time trucks in 2023: the No. 23 driven byGrant Enfinger , the No. 24 driven byRajah Caruth , and the No. 43 driven byDaniel Dye .[ 133] In July 2024,Young's Motorsports acquired the No. 46 fromFaction46 , which had only run the first 13 races of the season.[ 85] In October 2024,Bret Holmes Racing shut down its operations, with Late Model team owner Chris Hettinger purchasing the team's assets and renaming itHettinger Racing .[ 134] On November 4, 2023, Wally Rogers announced his retirement from crew chiefing in NASCAR after working for numerous teams in the Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series for over 20 years. He worked forNiece Motorsports since partway through the 2020 season and crew chiefed their No. 45 truck driven byLawless Alan in 2023. His replacement has yet to be announced.[ 139] On December 29, 2023,Rackley W.A.R. announced that crew chief Chad Kendrick would not return to the team in 2024, withTy Dillon , who will drive for the team in 2024, indicating that Kendrick is looking to step up into the Xfinity Series.[ 140] Interim crew chiefs [ edit ] The North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May. The entire schedule was released on October 4, 2023, consisting of 22 ovals and 1 road course; no dirt tracks would appear on the schedule for the first time since 2020.[ 142]
