The63rd Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida was anendurancesports car racing event held atSebring International Raceway from March 18-21st. The race was the second round of the2015 United SportsCar Championship as well as the second of four events in theNorth American Endurance Cup.
The race was won byAction Express Racing's No. 5Corvette Daytona Prototype, piloted bySébastien Bourdais,João Barbosa, andChristian Fittipaldi, finishing a full lap ahead of any else in the field. The Prototype Challenge class was won by the No. 52 entry from PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports piloted by Mike Guasch,Tom Kimber-Smith, andAndrew Palmer, securing their second consecutive victory in the season. In the GT Le Mans class, victory went toCorvette Racing's No. 3Chevrolet Corvette C7.R driven byAntonio García,Ryan Briscoe, andJan Magnussen. Finally, in GT Daytona, victory went to the No. 23Porsche 911 GT America fromAlex Job Racing andTeam Seattle driven by Mario Farnbacher,Ian James, andAlex Riberas, though it only took the lead with roughly four minutes to go when the No. 33Riley MotorsportsDodge Viper GT3-R suffered overheating issues.[1]
There were four practice sessions preceding the start of the race on Saturday, three on Thursday and one on Friday. The first two one-hour sessions were on Thursday morning and afternoon. The third held later that evening ran for 90 minutes; the fourth on Friday morning lasted an hour.[2][3]
The first practice session took place at 10:15 amET on Thursday and ended withJoão Barbosa topping the charts forAction Express Racing, with a lap time of 1:52.485.[4]

Qualifying was broken into four sessions. The first session of qualifying was for the GTD class. The No. 33Riley Motorsports entry driven byJeroen Bleekemolen set the fastest time in GTD.[12]
The second session of qualifying was for the GTLM class.Frédéric Makowiecki qualified on pole for the class driving the No. 912Porsche North America, bestingPatrick Pilet in the No. 911Porsche North America entry.[12]
The third session of qualifying was for the PC class.Martin Plowman qualified on pole driving the No. 16 car for BAR1 Motorsports.[13]
The final session of qualifying was for the P class.Olivier Pla qualified on pole driving the No. 57 car forKrohn Racing, beatingRyan Dalziel in the No. 1Tequila Patrón ESM by just over three tenths of a second.[14]
