6 – The trial of Shrien Dewani, who was accused of masterminding themurder of his wife Anni Dewani, commenced at the Western Cape High Court, following his extradition from Britain in April 2014.[16] At the conclusion of the trial in December 2014, he was exonerated, the Court ruling that there was no credible evidence to support the allegations against him, nor to support the allegation that the crime was a premeditated murder for hire.[17]
