The2001 Kazakhstan Premier League was the tenth season of theKazakhstan Premier League, the highestfootball league competition inKazakhstan, and took place between 28 April and 22 October.[1]

Teams

Zhiger were relegated at the end of the 2000 season, and were replaced byFC Aktobe-Lento,FC Mangystau andAtyrau.Batyr were reformed asEkibastuzets-NK andCSKA Kairat becameKairat.[1]

In addition to the changes in clubs in the Kazakhstan Premier League, there weer various name changes as well.Access-Golden-Grain becameEsil Bogatyr,Akmola becameEsil andKaisar-Hurricane returned to being calledKaisar.[1]
