2-Hydroxysaclofen is aGABAB receptorantagonist and ananalogue ofsaclofen.

Pharmacodynamics

2-Hydroxysaclofen binds to the GABAB receptor, but this is selective for the (S)-enantiomer, while the (R)-enantiomer does not bind to theGABAB protein.[1]

2-Hydroxysaclofen has been reported to be more potent thansaclofen.[2]
