25 November — Eastern Canada Hockey Association (ECHA) disbands over the plans of theMontreal Wanderers to change rinks. The Wanderers are shut out and the new Canadian Hockey Association (CHA) is formed with the remainder of the ECHA teams. The CHA will disband in January 1910.
