Åknes is a village inÅseral municipality inAgder county,Norway. The village is located in the northern part of the Logna river valley, about 18 kilometres (11 mi) northeast of the municipal centre ofKyrkjebygda. The village sits on the north shore of the lakeLognavatnet. TheÅknes Chapel was built here in 1873 to serve the northern part of the municipality. The small village ofBortelid lies about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) to the north.
