TheJealous Bass is the boss ofChapter 4 ofMother 3. It is fought byLucas andBoney at the end of the attic ofClub Titiboo. The Jealous Bass is accompanied in battle by aGently Weeping Guitar and aBeaten Drum. Together, they can perform a jam session attack to deal damage multiple times in one turn. Upon both of his allies being defeated, the Jealous Bass receives anoffense boost. If the player defeats the Jealous Bass before the other enemies, the Jealous bass plays its normal defeat animation, but the battle continues. The player still needs to defeat the Gently Weeping Guitar and Beaten Drum to win the battle.

Jam Session attack	Multiple low-level hits on random party members. Cannot be performed if the Jealous Bass is fighting by itself.
Fly into a rage	GenericOffense Up α. Used only once all enemies except the Jealous Bass have been killed.
Hypnosis α	May put one party member to sleep. Can only be used if the Jealous Bass is fighting by itself.
Solo Jam Session Attack	Multiple low-level hits on random party members. Replaces the Jam Session Attack if the Jealous Bass ends up fighting by itself
