Dalaam, referred to asRamma in Japan (ランマRamma) is a town inEarthBound. It is located in the Far East of the other locationsNess has visited, in theChommo region. Dalaam is the hometown ofPoo, one of the people accompanying Ness on his adventure.

Overview

Dalaam is on the mountains which rise high above the clouds and in the sky of the Chommo region. At the top of the mountain is Poo's palace. It has only one business in it due to it being quite small compared to the other towns in the game. South eastern area is the Place of Nothingness, in which Poo undergoes his Mu Training. In the south west is the cave which leads toPink Cloud, one of Ness'sSanctuaries.

Role inEarthBound

Dalaam is first visited after the scene where Ness and his friends eat the Magic Cake. At this moment, Poo is undergoing the last step in his training, which is to complete his Mu Training. Once he completes it, heteleports to Ness inSummers to join the adventure.

They later return to Dalaam in order to obtain the melody fromNess's sixthYour Sanctuary location, thePink Cloud. However, when Ness and his friends try to get into the entrance, it is obstructed by three rabbit statues at first. Therefore, he needs to get theCarrot Key first from the fifthYour Sanctuary location in a chest there to remove them. Afterwards, they can enter the cave to reach Pink Cloud.
