Bombs are recurring items found throughout theEarthBound series. They are single-use consumable items in each game they appear in. TheSuper Bomb is an upgraded version of the Bomb.
Usage
InEarthBound Beginnings
Bombs are only usable byLloyd. They damage all enemies for 50-60 points of damage. It is the item equivallant ofPK Fire β. The Super Bomb will instantly defeat all enemies, excluding bosses. Its equivalent isPK Fire Ω.
Bombs are also used byBombers andStar Miners.
InEarthBound
Bombs are now usable by anyone. Their properties have been changed, as they now damage a single enemy for 45~135 damage with a chance to hit adjacent enemies for 22~67, and the Super bomb damages a single enemy for 135~405, with a chance to hit adjacent enemies for 67~202.Care Free Bombs are capable of using Bombs and Super Bombs.
InMother 3
Bombs work as a combination to how they did inEarthBound Beginnings andEarthBound, as they are usable by everyone and damage all enemies instead of one. In addition to Super Bombs,Mother 3 also introduces four other bombs with differing effects: theRunning Bomb,Thunder Bomb,Sprinting Bomb, andNew Year's Eve Bomb (known asNew Year's Eve in theSuper Smash Bros. series).
