Proposed resolution (10/99): replace the quoted words with:
When an aggregate is initialized theinitializer cancontain aninitializer-clause consisting of abrace-enclosed, comma-separated list ofinitializer-clauses for the members of the aggregate.
9.5.2 [dcl.init.aggr] paragraph 2says,
When an aggregate is initialized theinitializer can be aninitializer-clause consisting of a brace-enclosed,comma-separated list ofinitializers for the members of theaggregate.Neither of these uses of the syntactic nonterminalinitializercorresponds to the grammar:
