In accordance with Article 15 of the Protocol on the Statute of the Court of Justice, the Court is to remain permanently in session. Each Court determines the periods of judicial vacation and the periods during which, as a rule, no hearings will be held.
Nevertheless, the Courts and their services continue to operate as normal during those periods, in which hearings can be organised if the circumstances of the case so require.
Thus, for the judicial year2023/2024hearings will not, as a rule, be held during the following periods :
| - All Saints: | 30.10.2023 > 05.11.2023 |
| - Christmas: | 18.12.2023 > 07.01.2024 |
| - Carnival: | 12.02.2024 > 18.02.2024 |
| - Easter: | 25.03.2024 > 07.04.2024 |
| - Ascension: | 20.05.2024 > 26.05.2024 |
| - Summer: | 16.07.2024 > 31.08.2024 |
For the judicial year2024/2025hearings will not, as a rule, be held during the following periods :
| - All Saints: | 28.10.2024 > 03.11.2024 |
| - Christmas: | 16.12.2024 > 05.01.2025 |
| - Carnival: | 17.02.2025 > 23.02.2025 |
| - Easter: | 14.04.2025 > 27.04.2025 |
| - Ascension: | 26.05.2025 > 01.06.2025 |
| - Summer: | 16.07.2025 > 31.08.2025 |
In addition, the Courts observe the statutory public holidays of Luxembourg, where they have their seats.
