As specified in theBylaws,an OpenJDK Member is aContributor who has demonstrated ahistory of significant contributions to the Community as recognizedby a vote of the existing OpenJDK Members.
As a rough guide, a candidate should be a Member of at least oneGroup, or aReviewer orProject Lead of at least oneProject, and make regular and significantcontributions to that Group or Project for at least one year beforebeing nominated to be an OpenJDK Member.
An OpenJDK Member maypropose newGroups, may lead a Group, and is eligible to vote onnew Projects,new OpenJDK Members, and theselection of newAt-LargeMembers of theGoverningBoard.
