With 60% (61, 753 Votes) voting in favor of the Miami Freedom Park referendum, our community demonstrated that it wants us to be part of the city and it wants an international soccer team that represents who we are.

The future MLS stadium project is revealed as Miami Freedom Park, a 160 acre privately funded project next to the Miami International Airport which includes a world-class 28,00 seat stadium, public park, and retail development center.Announced plans for Miami Freedom Park.

JANUARY 28, 2019

The Club has submitted an unsolicited proposal to the City of Fort Lauderdale to revitalize the historic Lockhart Stadium site as the future home for Inter Miami’s training complex.

FEBRUARY 4, 2019

Inter Miami made its first moves on the soccer operations side by hiring local youth coaching standouts Juan Carlos Michia and Victor Pastora to its Academy coaching staff. The MLS expansion Club also brought in professionals with league experience in Kurt Schmid (LA Galaxy, Seattle Sounders), Niki Budalic (Orlando City) and Jason Kreis (Orlando City, NYCFC, Real Salt Lake)

With a career that stretched nearly 20 years from Argentina to MLS, the Club announced it has hired former veteran midfielder Javier Morales to its Academy coaching staff.

MARCH 14, 2019

Inter Miami expands its proposal for Fort Lauderdale’s Lockhart site to include a new soccer stadium in addition to its original plan for a training complex. The Club plans to launch its first two MLS seasons at Lockhart before moving to Miami Freedom Park. Fort Lauderdale would remain the permanent training complex with the stadium being permanently used for its USL team.

MAY 8, 2019

The former Lockhart Stadium structure was demolished in a ceremony hosted by club representatives. The site will soon house Inter Miami CF’s new stadium, where the MLS team will play for its first two seasons. The site will then continue to host the permanent training complex and USL team.

JULY 26, 2019

The club announced its first ever signings: two 19-year-old Argentine youth internationals. Matías Pellegrini joined the club from Estudiantes de la Plata while Julián Carrranza joined from Club Atlético Banfield.

AUGUST 11, 2019

The academy traveled to South Korea to participate in a tournament and played the first match in the club’s history. The U17-18 team became the first team to compete while wearing the club’s badge. They won their game against Ansan 2-0.

OCTOBER 9, 2019

The club announced plans to establish a USL League One franchise beginning in the 2020 season. Inter Miami will have the USL team play its games in Fort Lauderdale beginning in March 2020. The Club will join four other MLS franchises who field teams in USL League One.

FEBRUARY 24, 2020

Inter Miami CF unveiled its first-ever home Major League Soccer (MLS) jersey. Inspired by the wings of the great white heron and accented by pink to reflect the vibrant soul of South Florida, the Inter Miami Home Jersey proudly represents the Club and its fans in the franchise’s historic 2020 inaugural MLS season.

MARCH 1, 2020

Inter Miami CF kicked off its inaugural season in Major League Soccer (MLS) with a 5:30 p.m. ET match at Banc of California Stadium against reigning Supporters’ Shield champions Los Angeles FC. The hosts left with a narrow 1-0 victory despite a valiant effort from debutants Inter Miami.

AUGUST 22, 2020

Inter Miami CF earned the first victory in Club history with a 3-2 win over Orlando City SC in its first match at Inter Miami CF Stadium. It was Inter Miami who struck first on their home field when Julián Carranza, Argentine forward, scored his first goal for the Club in the 12th minute. This marked the first MLS goal scored at Inter Miami CF Stadium.

SEPTEMBER 18, 2020

Club signs record-breaking goal scorer and three-time LaLiga and Serie A winner Gonzalo Higuaín as a Designated Player. The Argentine forward joins Inter Miami after leading Juventus FC to the 2019-20 Serie A.

JANUARY 18, 2020

Club has appointed Chris Henderson as Chief Soccer Officer (CSO) and Sporting Director to lead the strategic vision of the Club. Henderson will manage soccer operations and on-field developments, from the First Team to the youth levels.

La Palma jersey represents the deep bond between the fans and the team. The primarily black jersey with pink accents features a palm pattern as a symbol of unity, triumph, longevity, victory, royalty and honor. Additionally, the herons on the jersey are an embodiment of unification and a core element of the Club’s identity, and the blue color inside the collar and the trimming on the inside of the bottom of the jersey is a subtle tribute to Biscayne Bay, which lines and connects South Florida.

AutoNation will be the official and exclusive automotive partner of Inter Miami, which includes naming rights of the stadium and branding on the First Team training kits. This partnership amplifies AutoNation and Inter Miami’s commitment to driving out cancer by leveraging the power of fútbol and its strong fan base.

Starting in April 2021, Inter Miami will kick off its second campaign in Major League Soccer at the newly named DRV PNK Stadium in support of AutoNation’s DRV PNK initiative.

Plastic pollution is a significant issue for the world, especially with regards to the ocean. The issue must be at the forefront of mind at all times to not only ensure continued awareness of, but also to remember that it is up to us to be part of the solution. With this in mind, Inter Miami launched its adidas Primeblue jersey made with Parley Ocean Plastic in collaboration with Major League Soccer ahead of World Oceans Day on June 8.

Inter Miami unveiled XBTO, a prominent, global cryptofinance firm, as the first-ever Primary Jersey Sponsor for South Florida’s Major League Soccer (MLS) Club. The deal between Inter Miami and XBTO marks the first cryptofinance partnership in MLS.

Inter Miami players, Club co-owners and prominent members of the Miami tech community participated in the special event to discuss the partnership and the many benefits of the booming crypto industry.
