Nominations are Closed for Goddard Memorial Trophy
Every year, the National Space Club and Foundation presents several awards during the Goddard Memorial Dinner.
The premier award is the Dr. Robert H. Goddard Memorial Trophy, which was established in 1958 to honor the individual, or group of specifically named individuals, who have made a significant contribution to US leadership in the field of rocketry and astronautics.
As a Member of the Club, you have the privilege to recommend candidates for consideration for the Goddard Trophy. The Trophy may honor either a lifetime of achievement or a breakthrough discovery or achievement within calendar year. It may not be presented to an organization, and may no longer be awarded to a previous recipient.View a list of previous recipients.
The Space Club Board of Directors reserves the right to review and, as appropriate, narrow the list of nominations submitted to the Goddard Trophy Selection Committee to ensure each nomination’s eligibility, remove duplications, and ensure an efficient and timely process.
All nominations must be submitted on-line.
If you are nominating a team, the nominator must designate a team leader and up to 10 members to be recognized. The team leader will receive all correspondence and will make a 5 minute presentation at the dinner.
Nominations for the Trophy are now Closed. Look for announcements on the 2021 Goddard Trophy Winner in the future.
