Charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated (2022)

The Massachusetts State Police arrested LeBoeuf on April 26, 2022, and charged him with operating while intoxicated. The report indicated that LeBoeuf's blood alcohol limit was nearly four times the Massachusetts legal limit of .08. According to theBoston Globe, LeBoeuf was released the day after his arrest, following his arraignment for charges of operation under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation.[1]

LeBoeuf responded to the charges in a series of tweets and said, "I am deeply sorry for my egregious lapse in judgment. I am thankful there were no injuries and recognize the pain I have caused my family, friends, and community. I am not making excuses and will work extensively to rebuild people's trust. I struggle with addiction and am committed to getting the treatment necessary so that I can be my best self again. I ask that you respect my family's privacy so I can work on my recovery and continue to provide services to my district. I've tried to manage my sobriety on my own, and this is a desperate wake-up call that I need further support."[2]

Scorecards

See also:State legislative scorecards andState legislative scorecards in Massachusetts

Ascorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
