Environment Settings

Environments Options in MPLAB® IPE allow you to save specific tool settings, so that all of the same settings can be reloaded again in a different programming session. Environments are supported, under all tools, as either .pen files or .pm3 files.

To view and change theEnvironments Options, you need to firstlogin to theAdvanced Mode. then click onEnvironment to display the available settings. See figure below.

Misc Filesother files used in the environment, e.g., data sheets, instructions, etc. Multiple files can be selected
PropertiesClick this button to display the properties of the SD card in theMPLAB® PM3 Programmer
FormatClick this button to format the SD card in the MPLAB® PM3, erasing all of the contents
Deleteopens the Delete Environment window
Copyopens a dialog to select source and destination for copying environment
Viewopens the View Environment window
Save to PM3 SD Cardsaves the files to a MPLAB® PM3 SD card destination
Save to PCsaves file to a destination on the PC
