These crawls are part of an effort to archive pages as they are created and archive the pages that they refer to. That way, as the pages that are referenced are changed or taken from the web, a link to the version that was live when the page was written will be preserved.

Then the Internet Archive hopes that references to these archived pages will be put in place of a link that would be otherwise be broken, or a companion link to allow people to see what was originally intended by a page's authors.

Here are some rules and tips to make yourself aware of before you start your journey in Albania:

  • You must be at least over 18 years of age to drive in Albania.
  • In Albania you have to drive on the right hand side of the road.
  • Everybody must wear seat belts whilst traveling in the car.
  • Mobile phones can be used whilst driving with a hands free set. Third party insurance is required.
  • Drink driving is prohibited and the legal blood alcohol level is 0.01 mg/ml. Please make sure that you are aware of all the road regulations before you start your trip in Albania.

  • Residential areas – 50 km/h (31 mph)
  • Outside residential areas – 90 km/h (56 mph)

It is compulsory to have the following equipment with you when driving in Albania:

  • A Valid, full, UK driving licence
  • An international driving permit
  • Motor insurance documents
  • Spare bulbs for your car's external lights
  • A fire extinguisher A first aid kit
  • A warning triangle in case you break down
  • A basic emergency repair kit will be useful because there are no recovery service in Albania. These should include jack, spare wheel, fan belts, wiper blades, local phrase book, water and overnight food.
  • Always take a mobile phone with you in case of an emergency.

You might also want to bring a road map of Albania to accompany you as well as sat nav.
