CHANCE!
Wolves 0-0 Man City
Man City break through and they make it look so easy.
Benjamin Mendy pings a pin-point pass to Sergio Aguero, who nods into the path of Ilkay Gundogan, through on goal thanks to a driving run.
His shot is terrible though - weak and dribbling, easy for Rui Patricio to stop.

Wolves have had a couple of half chances already. They've got pace and good movement on the ball but it's all about finding the back of that net.
CHANCE!
Wolves 0-0 Man City
Great start from the home side this. They pounce on another chance to punch through on the wing, the left this time, and Benjamin Mendy has to intervene at the back post to deny Helder Costa a chance to shoot on goal first-time from deep inside the box. Ederson was looking exposed.
Mendy's clearance isn't great though and it bounces back to Costa - who is offside.
YELLOW CARD
Wolves 0-0 Man City
Again there is a chance for Wolves to break and Vincent Kompany goes in the book for a professional foul on Ruben Neves, crashing into him from behind as the Portugal midfield spun away with a clever turn.

Wolves 0-0 Man City
Benjamin Mendy drops a shoulder and runs into trouble.
Wolves can break into space down the right wing but Aymeric Laporte comes storming across to clear from Helder Costa with a crunching challenge. Excellent covering.

Wolves 0-0 Man City
Diogo Jota wins a free-kick from a challenge with Vincent Kompany - the big Belgian had a fistful of his shirt.
Ruben Neves with a chance to deliver into the box, from out wide and deep...
Too long and straight into Ederson's zone of control. The Brazilian goes to kick it out quickly, and Ryan Bennett blocks him. The ref has a word, nothing more.
Neves the great hope for Wolves

No doubting who the darling of this Wolves crowd is - their outstanding young midfield player Ruben Neves.
He is the real jewel in the crown here and the early roars around Molineux are testimony to his popularity. Neves will have to assume plenty of responsibilty this season but he does not look like the type to shrink away from it.

Wolves 0-0 Man City
Aymeric Laporte has space to stride in to out of defence. Off wide to Ilkay Gundogan it goes. The Germany midfielder is closed down quicker but he can still chip a lovely weighted ball up towards Raheem Sterling again. This time his touch totally deserts him.
CHANCE!
Wolves 0-0 Man City
Raheem Sterling with a fine turn and superb control to match as he spins away from Ryan Bennett in the box. On towards goal, the angle is cut down and he can't quite pick out the scampering striker to his right though.
Excellent through ball down the line from Benjamin Mendy to set the attack in motion.

Wolves 0-0 Man City
City starting out as they intend to carry on. Silky one-touch passing and a clever flick from Sergio Aguero before David Silva is caught offside.
Pep Guardiola, legs crossed, leans back into the away bench.
Excitement builds briefly for the home side as Joao Moutinho digs in a cross that's easily fielded by Kyle Walker.
Wolves' fans are in fine voice.

Wolves are very good at possession and will fancy their chances against City. They will go toe-to-toe with them if City play high.

Dave:The reason Man City won the league at a canter last year is that teams were reluctant to have a go, opting for damage limitation as opposed to trying to win. I expect Wolves to take the game to them today. Might even get a result!
Andy Penders: Er, that City bench looks bang average.Stones, Delph, Sane, Mahrez, Otamendi, Gabriel Jesus and......Muric.Imagine being a 19-year-old amongst all that lot.

Here we go, fireworks and flames firing on the side of the pitch as the players walk out from the Molineux tunnel. That was quite the entrance.

The supporters are singing: "There's only one Carl Ikeme".

It is somehow fitting that, as they approach the 10th anniversary of their Abu Dhabi ownership, and the deal that transformed the fortunes of their entire club, Manchester City should be visiting Wolves today.
Wolves have ambitious owners themselves, and the Fosun group have the inside knowledge of super agent Jorge Mendes to help them.
After a draw and a defeat in their opening two games, Wolves have made a hesitant start in their new surroundings after roaring to the Championship title last season.
Now, they might be about to discover just how much work they still have to do.

The past four winners of the Championship have avoided relegation from the Premier League the following season.
One of them even won the thing: (Leicester, Burnley Bournemouth and Newcastle).
Wolves have got a big chance to show they're capable of survival and more today.
