These crawls are part of an effort to archive pages as they are created and archive the pages that they refer to. That way, as the pages that are referenced are changed or taken from the web, a link to the version that was live when the page was written will be preserved.

Then the Internet Archive hopes that references to these archived pages will be put in place of a link that would be otherwise be broken, or a companion link to allow people to see what was originally intended by a page's authors.

The goal is tofix all broken links on the web. Crawls of supported "No More 404" sites.
This is a collection of web page captures from links added to, or changed on, Wikipedia pages. The idea is to bring a reliability to Wikipedia outlinks so that if the pages referenced by Wikipedia articles are changed, or go away, a reader can permanently find what was originally referred to.

This is part of the Internet Archive's attempt torid the web of broken links.

Welcome to the Hove Rugby Club History site

We are attempting to put together a history of the Club and, of course, this is always difficult. Clearly, later, more recent seasons will have more information as memories are fresher and more people have them.

If you have any documents, photos, Club Handbooks, programmes or similar then please contact us and we will try and get them from you so that we can load copies onto the site.

This site will ony ever be as good as the contributions received – so please do what you can to help.

Please see thesite status page to see where I am up to with all this.

What finally prompted me to set this up – apart from retiring from the Committee and having more time – was the fact that Graham Gordon left behind his collection of Club handbooks from 1959-60 to today and Graham’s brother Gavin kindly agreed to let me have them. Then we had a few further books from George Fawcett’s widow with the net result that I believe we are missing only 4 or so from 1952-1953 to 1955-1956.

So, please help me put this together by supplying content from now on and if you have anything historical then please let me have it. If you would like to be a contributor to this site then do let me know.

This site is intended merely to augment the data available from the Club. It has a different purpose from the mainHove Rugby Club site and you should go there for news, fixtures, details of what is happening and so on. There is a link to the main site in the menu bar on each page.

Kind Regards

Andy Ward – Self Appointed Historian!
