Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved the proposal for up-gradation of the 39 medical colleges/institutions in the third phase of PMSSY (list attached) on 7th November, 2013 at an approved cost of Rs.150 crore each (Central Contribution - Rs.120 crore and State Share – Rs.30 crore).

•Ministry has approved the proposal for creation of a Super Specialty block in Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU at a cost of Rs 200 crore and establishment of a Hospital Block at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala at a cost of Rs 200 crore each under PMSSY.
•CPWD appointed as the executing agency.
•Gap Analysis finalized.
•DPRs Approved.
•Work awarded and civil work in progress.
•Foundation stone laid.
•CPWD has been appointed as the executing agency for the upgradation works of GMC, Bhagalpur, GMC, Gaya, PMCH, Patna, GMC Bilaspur and GMC Jagdalpur.
•Gap Analysis for the 12 out of 13 Government Medical Colleges has been finalized.
•RFQ invited for appointment of executing agency for six (6) GMCs and quotations were opened on 15.05.2017.
•M/s HITES has been appointed as the Executing Agency for GMC Agra,GMC Kanpur and GMC Cuttack.
•M/s Bridge & Roof Co(I) Ltd. has been appointed as the Executing agency for GMC Jaipur, GMC Indore and GMC Bhavnagar.
•Project Implementation Unit, Govt. of Gujarat has been appointed as the Executing Agency for GMC Surat.
•DPR approved for 10 out of 13 GMCs.
•Work awarded for 6 GMCs and civil work is in progress.
