Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the archive.org Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history.

History is littered with hundreds of conflicts over the future of a community, group, location or business that were "resolved" when one of the parties stepped ahead and destroyed what was there. With the original point of contention destroyed, the debates would fall to the wayside. Archive Team believes that by duplicated condemned data, the conversation and debate can continue, as well as the richness and insight gained by keeping the materials. Our projects have ranged in size from a single volunteer downloading the data to a small-but-critical site, to over 100 volunteers stepping forward to acquire terabytes of user-created data to save for future generations.

The main site for Archive Team is atarchiveteam.org and contains up to the date information on various projects, manifestos, plans and walkthroughs.

This collection contains the output of many Archive Team projects, both ongoing and completed. Thanks to the generous providing of disk space by the Internet Archive, multi-terabyte datasets can be made available, as well as in use by theWayback Machine, providing a path back to lost websites and work.

Our collection has grown to the point of having sub-collections for the type of data we acquire. If you are seeking to browse the contents of these collections, the Wayback Machine is the best first stop. Otherwise, you are free to dig into the stacks to see what you may find.

The Archive Team Panic Downloads are full pulldowns of currently extant websites, meant to serve as emergency backups for needed sites that are in danger of closing, or which will be missed dearly if suddenly lost due to hard drive crashes or server failures.

Collection:ArchiveBot: The Archive Team Crowdsourced Crawler

ArchiveBot is an IRC bot designed to automate the archival of smaller websites (e.g. up to a few hundred thousand URLs). You give it a URL to start at, and it grabs all content under that URL, records it in a WARC, and then uploads that WARC to ArchiveTeam servers for eventual injection into the Internet Archive (or other archive sites).

To use ArchiveBot, drop by #archivebot on EFNet. To interact with ArchiveBot, you issue commands by typing it into the channel. Note you will need channel operator permissions in order to issue archiving jobs. The dashboard shows the sites being downloaded currently.

Sono 509 mila le nascite nel 2014, cinquemila in meno rispetto al 2013, il livello minimo dall'Unità d'Italia. I morti sono 597 mila unità, circa quattromila in meno dell'anno precedente.

Il numero medio di figli per donna è pari a 1,39, come nel 2013. L'età media al parto sale a 31,5 anni.

Calano le nascite da madri sia italiane sia straniere, con le prime che nel 2014 procreano 1,31 figli contro 1,97 delle seconde.

Un significativo calo della mortalità ha determinato un ulteriore aumento della speranza di vita alla nascita, giunta a 80,2 anni per gli uomini e a 84,9 anni per le donne. Per via del processo di convergenza della sopravvivenza maschile a quella femminile la differenza di genere è scesa a 4,7 anni.

Il saldo migratorio netto con l'estero è pari a +142 mila unità, corrispondente a un tasso del 2,3 per mille. Si tratta del valore minimo degli ultimi cinque anni.

Le iscrizioni dall'estero di individui di nazionalità estera sono 255 mila, mentre i rientri in patria degli italiani sono 26 mila. Le cancellazioni per l'estero riguardano 48 mila stranieri e 91 mila cittadini italiani. Il saldo migratorio con l'estero relativo ai soli cittadini stranieri ammonta a +207 mila mentre per gli italiani risulta negativo nella misura di 65 mila unità.

I trasferimenti di residenza intercomunali sono 1 milione 350 mila. Il Nord è interessato da un flusso netto di migranti interni dell'1 per mille, il Centro da uno pari allo 0,9. Nel Mezzogiorno si riscontra un tasso migratorio interno netto pari a -2,1 per mille residenti.

Nel 2014 la popolazione residente consegue un incremento demografico dello 0,4 per mille, il più basso degli ultimi dieci anni. In termini assoluti l'incremento è pari ad appena 26 mila unità in più, il che determina una popolazione totale di 60 milioni 808 mila residenti al 1° gennaio 2015.

Gli stranieri residenti in Italia al 1° gennaio 2015 sono 5 milioni 73 mila e rappresentano l'8,3% della popolazione residente totale. Rispetto al 1° gennaio 2014 si riscontra un incremento di 151 mila unità.

Regolarmente da un decennio si rileva una riduzione della popolazione di cittadinanza italiana, scesa a 55,7 milioni di residenti al 1° gennaio 2015. La perdita netta rispetto all'anno precedente è pari a 125 mila residenti.

Al 1° gennaio 2015 l'età media della popolazione ha raggiunto i 44,4 anni. La popolazione per grandi classi di età è così distribuita: 13,8% fino a 14 anni di età, 64,4% da 15 a 64 anni, 21,7% da 65 anni in su.
