How are calls and messages over Wi-Fi Calling billed?
Calls
- For Simple Choice Plans, Wi-Fi calling uses monthly plan minutes for the following:
- Calls made from the US to US numbers
- Calls made from the US to international numbers (subject to international rates)
- Calls made from outside the US to US numbers (not charged roaming)
- All incoming calls received over Wi-Fi Calling are $0.
- Wi-Fi calls placed to countries other than the U.S. from outside the U.S. are subject to the following:
- If you have a Simple Choice rate plan:
- Wi-Fi calls made from anySimple Global country to any other country are $0.20/min (same as cellular).
- Wi-Fi calls made from non Simple Global countries to other countries are charged atWorld Class rates.
- If you do not have a Simple Choice rate plan, Wi-Fi calls made to other countries are charged atWorld Class Calling rates.
- Keep in mind, you must disable data roaming when traveling internationally to avoid incurring data roaming charges.
Messages
- All text messages (SMS) and picture messages (MMS) received over Wi-Fi are $0.
- SMS/MMS sent to the U.S. over Wi-Fi from anywhere are $0.
- Wi-Fi messages sent to countries other than the U.S. from outside the U.S. are subject to the following:
- $0 if the messages is sent while roaming in a Simple Global country
- $0.50 if the messages is sent while roaming in a non-Simple Global country
For Pay In Advance prepaid lines, calls made over Wi-Fi deduct from the plan bucket just like regular calls.
