We are so glad that you found your way to this page. Alumni are the heart and soul of the Nicholas School. We can be found around the country and around the world, in laboratories and think-tanks, in the halls of Congress and the jungles of Central America, on the top floors of corporate headquarters and the ground floor of grassroots NGOs – in every sector and at every level. We carry our Duke experiences with us, enhancing both our professional and personal lives as we, together, help forge a more sustainable future for all.

The Nicholas School Alumni Council and the School have worked hard to increase opportunities for alumni to stay connected with each other and with the Duke Environment community. • The Nicholas School has established this page in order to provide alumni and students with a more robust tool to network with one another.  In addition to being able to view, search, and connect with alumni, the page also serves as an umbrella that will provide alumni the opportunity to learn about the wide variety of Nicholas School & Duke sub-groups organized around activities or regions.  Lastly, by joining the page you are able to proudly display the Nicholas School’s logo under the Education section of your LinkedIn profile.  Doing this not only helps to provide the school with a more consist look amongst all of our alumni but it also helps to showcase the post-graduate success of our alumni and their degrees.

“Alumni Back-to-Class” Lecture Series

The “Back to Class” lecture series give Nicholas School alumni a chance to learn and converse with Nicholas faculty, staff, other alums and guest speakers about the latest environmental research, policy, trends and tools. Back to Class sessions are offered four times each year – two online and two on-site in Durham in the fall and spring. Volunteer Opportunities with Students

Assist current Nicholas School students as they prepare to transition into the workplace. Our Career and Professional Development Center offers many opportunities to help with resume review, mock interviews and Master Project advising, serve as a Master Project or internship client, and much more.
