LGBT Pride Parade

July 01, 2015

What you need to know

The LGBT Pride Parade will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 in St Pete. The Saturday night Block Party begins at 5pm, with the Parade kicking off at Sunset. To purchase Glamstand tickets, click here.

About the LGBT Pride Parade

The LGBT Pride Parade, held within the Historic Kenwood Neighborhood and Grand Central District, features more than 150 organizations and businesses supporting and celebrating the Tampa Bay LGBT community. The Parade draws more than 200,000 people in total, making it the large LGBT Pride Parade in Florida and largest overall in St Petersburg. The Saturday Block Party begins at 5:00 p.m., held between 22nd Street and 27th Street along Central Avenue, featuring DJs, food and beverages. The Parade will roll off at Sunset.

Bleacher seating is available in The Glamstands (seating, private restrooms, complimentary food, cocktails and water are available). To purchase Glamstand tickets, click here.

Be Courteous

No outside beverages or alcohol may be brought to the Parade. Water and other beverages will be sold throughout Central Avenue between the blocks of 22nd and 27th Streets. In the interest of general safety, please refrain from bringing in the following to the Parade:

  • Alcohol (open container laws and city ordinances still apply)
  • Inline Skates
  • Laser pointers
  • Radios
  • Skateboards/Scooters
  • Fireworks
  • Weapons/Firearms
  • Pets or animals (we love animals, but for their safety, leave them at home)

Getting There

There are several options when coming to St Pete Pride. And as with any large event, parking can always be a challenge. If you plan on driving, we recommend you carpool. Regardless of how signs may read, St Pete Pride does not operate any parking areas near the Parade or Street Festival.

PSTA buses will be running frequently along 1st Avenues North and South – parallel to the events – making it easy to leave your car at home or in an outlying parking spot while PSTA chauffeurs you to and from the celebrations.

PSTA operates several routes along the parade and festival corridor, which will give revelers easy and frequent access to cool, comfortable buses throughout the day and well into the evening. Among the routes serving the celebration in the Grand Central District will be the Central Avenue Trolley, Routes 7, 18, 20 and 52. Several routes will also be detoured to accommodate the celebrations and those detours can be found at the PSTA Rider Alert webpage.

This event was designed to provide equal opportunity for enjoyment by all participants. If you would like to request any particular aids or services pursuant to disability laws, please contact the event planner  at 727-342-0084 or City of St Petersburg Community Affairs Division at (727) 893-7345 or (727) 892-5259 TDD/TTY.
