ANN REINKING was the director/ co-conceiver/co-choreographer of Fosse, which won the Tony for Best Musical in 1999. In 1997, she won the Tony for her choreography of Chicago, as well as Drama Desk, Outer Critics, Astaire and NY Drama Critics Awards. She received Tony nominations for Dancin’Goodtime Charley and Fosse; and Theatre World, Clarence Derwent and Outer Critics Awards for Over Here. She is the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate for Contribution to the Arts at Florida State University; Rolex Award for Outstanding Contributions to Dance; Elan Award for Outstanding Choreographer; Distinguished Artist Award/Los Angeles Music Center; Olivier Award, Best Theatre Choreography, Fosse; Sir Robert Helpmann Award, Best Choreography, Chicago, Australia; Dance Magazine Award for Choreography; Drama League Award for Distinguished Achievement in Musical Theatre; Musical Hall of Fame Award; Dance Library of Israel Award; Distinguished Artist Award; School of American Ballet Artistic Achievement Award; National Artists Club Award for Service to the Arts; Governor’s Award for the Arts for the State of Florida.
