Overall Experience:I love Virginia Tech because of the wonderful environment, great food, and friendly people. Virginia Tech wasn't my first choice, but I'm glad that I came here. If I could do anything over, I would have tried harder in high school and applied to more out of state schools and more scholarships. I personally wanted to go far away from home, but I wouldn't have been able to afford it.

Overall Experience:My campus is very "college-like" meaning it's very traditional and in the country-side. There's not really much surrounding the campus. It's a friendly environment and a small community where a lot of students may know a majority of the students. It's not hard to miss seeing people you know. We have the top best school food nation-wide. A quote our students know is, "Once a hokie, always a hokie."

Overall Experience:Everything about Virginia Tech is unique. From the buildings made out of our own homie stone to the Saturday football games starting with everyone jumping to Inner Sandman. I absolutely believe that what people think of when they try and think of the best college experience and environment, it is of Virginia Tech.

Overall Experience:From what I have experienced from the first few visits of my beloved school is that the pride runs deep within our community. Everyone on campus looks out for one another and someone is always there to lend a helping hand. When you go to Virginia Tech, you're not just going to college but you're going to your second home away from home. My school is unique in the sense that it is very diverse and offers alot of different cultural activities that students can engage in, my school has the number one ranked spot at offering the best and most delicious food, even though oddly enough we are also an extremely fit campus. Overall my experience has been sheer delight and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Overall Experience:I'm a recent graduate now attending grad school and I picked a great school for my undergraduate experience. Virginia Tech is in a great location, has a wonderful student body and supportive professors and staff. There is a genuine sense of community that is unique to Virginia Tech and although they don't offer a social work bachelors' degree so I'm now in grad school for 2 years instead of 1 I would not choose any other school for my undergraduate experience.

Overall Experience:I do not have a single complaint about Virginia Tech - absolutely the best school in the nation. Everyone is happy and absolutely loves their school, the atmosphere of campus and Blacksburg cannot be beat, our academic programs are phenomenal throughout all different colleges, and the social scene is always a very fun time.

Overall Experience:Deciding to go out of state to attend Virginia Tech is one of the best decisions I ever made. It can be daunting at first to have new friends, but everyone here is really friendly and it makes for a very welcoming environment to start fresh. Go hokies!

Overall Experience:Even though I did not get good grades the first time, the level of pride and community I experienced was phenomenal. Everyone sticks together and football games are a blast.

Overall Experience:I struggled with classes and was very depressed, but my advisor is being super helpful to me. I think there may be misconceptions that bigger schools don't really care about their students, but if you look for the right people there's someone that care. Also, there is a very strong community which is supposedly "rare" to big schools, but mine has. I really like walking through such a large campus and everyone seems to be in a good mood; smiling and opening doors for one another is a common occurrence.

Overall Experience:I like the community of my school and dining and residence life is good, I like my classes as well. Sometimes I feel like I don't fit in as well and wish I had gotten in to some of my top choice schools because I think I would've fit in better there.

Overall Experience:I choose Virginia Tech because it made the most sense for what area I wanted to go into which is Agriculture. I also choose Virginia Tech because a lot of my relatives went there and they had nothing bad to say about it. Now that I have been there for a year I can't see my self anywhere else. After being at school for probably a month it felt like I had never gone to school anywhere else, I had always been a hokie. The people are so nice, I feel very safe, and of course the food that we have is amazing! I wouldn't change my decision for anything.

Overall Experience:Virginia Tech is honestly amazing. Being an out-of-state student I can admit that sometimes it does feel distant in the sense of meeting people but everyone is really nice. The fact that we have the best food thanks to the Princeton Review and the most fit campus, I think VT is pretty epic.

Overall Experience:I think VT is amazing. You can't help but feel the school spirit everywhere you go. However, since I'm an international student (I'm a citizen but I moved around a lot), I felt like I couldn't really fit in properly. I think you'll def find your sense of belonging if you lived in Virginia all your life, but coming from a different country, I found it difficult to find people who I could connect with. There isn't much of an international community here.

Off-Campus Housing:I'll be living off-campus this coming semester. The apartments are really too far from campus for my taste.

Party Scene:I have partied a few times here and it has been fun, but in order to attend the more fun apartment parties, you really need to know people.
