These crawls are part of an effort to archive pages as they are created and archive the pages that they refer to. That way, as the pages that are referenced are changed or taken from the web, a link to the version that was live when the page was written will be preserved.

Then the Internet Archive hopes that references to these archived pages will be put in place of a link that would be otherwise be broken, or a companion link to allow people to see what was originally intended by a page's authors.

The goal is tofix all broken links on the web. Crawls of supported "No More 404" sites.
This is a collection of web page captures from links added to, or changed on, Wikipedia pages. The idea is to bring a reliability to Wikipedia outlinks so that if the pages referenced by Wikipedia articles are changed, or go away, a reader can permanently find what was originally referred to.

This is part of the Internet Archive's attempt torid the web of broken links.

A Big Thank You

A Big Thank You

I’m writing today to let you know that one of the greatest experiences of my life is coming to an end.

When I moved to Cleveland nearly five years ago, you instantly welcomed me with open arms onto your airwaves and into your homes. It is a place that I have had the honor of calling “home” and in this transient business that isn’t always easy to find. It’s been an awesome ride.

Next month, I’ll officially sign-off from 19 Action News and WDOK, so I can continue to follow my dreams down I-77 South. I’m taking on an exciting new challenge – as an entertainment reporter in Miami, for Fox affiliate WSVN on the nightly entertainment programDeco Drive.

My decision was not easy. Cleveland is one of a kind and has shaped the person that I am today. If you’re reading this, you undoubtedly played a role. And for that I want to say a huge THANK YOU. It means more than you know and I could not have done this without you.
