A review shouldn't be just an opportunity to kvetch.
But readers plunk down a bunch of coin for video games, so said games really shouldn't be irritating. And some glitches are more than incidental and occasional. They're exasperating.
Which brings me to the PlayStation version of the new Triple Play Baseball from Electronic Arts.
The game strikes me as a fairly rich experience _ something I could get immersed in for about a month if I didn't have a job, a family and an assortment of other obligations. Lots of sports games are like that.
To soak up the fun without turning over my life, my first move with baseball games is to look for the home-run derby modes. They require a minimum of commitment, but yield a big return in satisfaction. …
