About Jeff

Jeffrey Segal

At only 25 years old, Jeff's age might lead you to believe that he would lack experience racing at the professional level.  However, Jeff's list of accomplishments already reads like a seasoned veteran, with two professional sports car championships in addition to several class wins, pole positions, and notable performances.  Most recently, Jeff partnered with Emil Assentato and the Mazda-backed SpeedSource team to sweep the 2010 Grand-Am Rolex Series GT-Class Driver, Team, and Manufacturers Championships.  This Championship came on the heels of an incredible string of 10 consecutive top-four finishes, including two wins and five podium finishes.  At year end, Jeff and Emil narrowly edged out their GT competition for the Rolex Series Championship, which also garnered Jeff the distinction of winning the Gianfranco Martelli award from Pirelli to recognize his professionalism and dedication throughout the season.

Prior to his many successes in 2010, Jeff's career highlights include another familiar sounding Championship sweep of Driver, Team, and Manufacturers titles, this time in the 2007 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge GS-class at the wheel of a BMW M3.  Further pole positions and race wins throughout several seasons of Continental Series competition demonstrate Jeff's driving versatility in cars ranging from showroom stock preparation all the way to cutting edge GT car technology.  With experience in everything from karting, to Ferrari Challenge, to Formula BMW, and the latest in GT machinery from Ferrari, Maserati, BMW, Porsche, and Mazda, Jeff continues to prove his ability to drive just about anything to the front of the pack.

Outside the race track, Jeff recently graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in Business Administration, specializing in Entrepreneurship.  While juggling his racing and his studies, he also found time to become fluent in French, proficient in Spanish, and is currently working on adding German and Italian to the tally.  When he isn't busy racing or coaching new talent, Jeff can likely be found riding his road-bike around Miami to stay fit, or sharpening his skills behind the wheel of a shifterkart.
