(Aug. 19, 2013) - FC Kansas City midfielderLauren Holiday earned the NWSL Golden Boot, awarded Monday to the player with the most goals in the 2013 regular season.
Holiday, 25, led the league in scoring with 12 goals in 18 games for FC Kansas City to go along with nine assists, which was also a NWSL best.
 
The Indianapolis native scored six goals and added an assist during June, when she claimed the NWSL Player of the Month. Holiday was also named the NWSL Player of the Week for her two-goal performance against Portland Thorns FC in Week 17.
 
The U.S. Women’s National Team midfielder scored at least one goal against all seven other teams in the NWSL during the season, with five goals against the Thorns marking the most she netted against a single opponent.
 
The UCLA product had three two-goal games and also compiled a NWSL record 10-game streak with a goal or assist. See below for a complete log of Holiday’s goals in the 2013 NWSL season:
