MINISTER of Industry, Investment and Commerce Anthony Hylton has urged the public to exercise patience in making a judgement on the proposed development of Goat Islands as a trans-shipment and logistics port. Hylton also said that plans for the establishment of the $10-billion logistics hub, fully utilising benefits expected to accrue from the re-opening of an expanded Panama Canal in 2015, would not be affected even if the Goat Islands project is not implemented.

Joseph Needham was an English medical doctor and biologist, teaching in England in the 1930s. By an accident of fate he acquired some Chinese students, and was intrigued to hear their claims of so many medical and scientific discoveries having originated in China, rather than in the West.
Needham became fully fluent in Chinese, and eventually moved to China in 1942 to investigate these claims and to research the entire history of Chinese invention. That work led to an astonishing voyage of historical discovery.

Following my request for nostalgic photos are these circa ‘50’s generously provided by Ms. Simone Tai of her family at Hope Gardens with pond, swans and Long Mountains behind; along with one of her dad at the beach. There is also a current shot for you back-home yardies, of a grey squirrel in my backyard fattening up for the winter. I am sure we all have albums chock-full of photos from JA in thegood old days that we have lying around and taken for granted. Well those photos are a treasure trove for me and anyone of similar nostalgic vein. Well I am begging you for these. I know there may be some that are too painful, intimate or personal but anything else please share with us.

Contrary to popular belief, your vision doesn't have to decline over time. With regular exercise of the muscles that control your eye movements and visual acuity, you can reduce eyestrain and maintain or even improve your vision. Utilization of a few acupressure points can also help your vision by encouraging healthy blood flow to your eyes.
