The Youth and Student Movement to Endthe War on Drugs

Students for Sensible Drug Policy UK is a grassroots network ofstudents and young people dedicated to ending the War on Drugs. We have chapters at universities, colleges and in communities all overthe United Kingdom.

SSDP chapters provide a voice for peoplewho want the drug laws and the way we talk about drugs in society tochange. They put on events at their educational institutions and intheir local communities to promote alternatives to the current systemand campaign on local, national and international issues in drugpolicy.

We envisage a world in which people who use drugs are no longercriminalised and that drugs are regulated in the best possible way toprotect society. If you believe that drug policy should be based oncompassion, reason, evidence and human rights then join us. Whether you care about cannabislegalisation, problematic drug use, drug classification, the violencecaused by the drugs trade, protecting young people or just want to enddrug prohibition there is a place for you in our movement!

Anyone can help get involved in SSDP regardless of whether you are astudent or young person. For students and young people to start a localgroup click on the Getting Involved link to the left.

Whether you are anartist, musician, graphic designer, fundraiser, video editor, webdesigner, writer or just want to help us out! Drop us an email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and we will be intouch!
