SSDP chapters provide a voice for peoplewho want the drug laws and the way we talk about drugs in society tochange. They put on events at their educational institutions and intheir local communities to promote alternatives to the current systemand campaign on local, national and international issues in drugpolicy.
We envisage a world in which people who use drugs are no longercriminalised and that drugs are regulated in the best possible way toprotect society. If you believe that drug policy should be based oncompassion, reason, evidence and human rights then join us. Whether you care about cannabislegalisation, problematic drug use, drug classification, the violencecaused by the drugs trade, protecting young people or just want to enddrug prohibition there is a place for you in our movement!
