Permanent Allegiance Law & Legal Definition
Permanent allegiance means the unending allegiance owed by citizens or subjects to their states. Generally, a person who owes permanent allegiance to a state is called a national. The question as to whether a citizen owes permanent allegiance to U.S., is not merely a matter of individual choice, instead it reflects a legal relationship between individuals and Sovereign. [Puentes Fernandez v. Keisler, 502 F.3d 337 (4th Cir. 2007)].
