Klingon text converter

You can convert Klingon text written in Latin script to or from pIqaD in the text boxes below. The script of pIqaD used is specified at theConScript Unicode Registry. The text in the pIqaD box uses the pIqaD HaSta font available fromMichael Everson’s website. You need a fairly modern browser to see the font used, and I can’t figure out how to get it to work Internet Explorer anymore.

Note that this tool won’t translate text. The sample text below (toDuj ʼoS rol/  ) means “a beard is a symbol of courage” (fromThe Klingon Way by Marc Okrand).
