Summer Schedule

SATURDAY JUNE 16TH:Museum Open House, 2pm.

The Bread and Puppet Museum celebrates its thirty-seventh season with a festive open house. Music, the ceremonial opening of the Museum door, and small shows start at 2pm. At 4pm, the resident puppeteers together with theater students from Montreal’s Concordia University will present a new show in the Dirt-Floor Theater behind the Museum. Following the performance, there will be an information meeting, open to all, about Bread & Puppet Theater’s Summer Programs.

TUESDAY NIGHTS: Shape Note Sings. 7:30-9pm .

start/end dates for summer 2012 TBA. SHAPE NOTE music is early American hymns in the FA-SO-LA tradition.  Easy to learn- all welcome! In the Paper Mache Cathedral/Dirt Floor Theater

FRIDAY NIGHTS: The Shatterer of Worlds Over Puppet Show.  July 6th to August 24, 7:30pm.

For adults, in the Paper Maché Cathedral/Dirt Floor Theater (behind the museum). Admission is free, donations are welcome.

SUNDAY AFTERNOONS: The Complete Everything Everywhere Dance Circus, followed by the Pageant of the Possibilitarians.   July 15 to August 26th, 3pm.

For all ages, in the Circus Field.  Small shows before 3 pm and guided tours of the museum Sundays at 1 pm. Admission is free, donations are welcome.

If you’d like to be in the parade, come to the meeting place 45 minutes prior to the start and wear white!

Sat 5/26: Hardwick Parade, 11 am parade start; meet behind the high school.

Wed 7/4:Cabot Parade, 11 am parade start; meet across the road from the fire station.

ALSO        Barton Parade,  2 pm parade start.  It’s not clear yet if we’ll set up at the fire station or at our old location down by the former landromat. Look for our bus.

Sat  7/7:Greensboro Parade, 10 am parade start; meet at Mountain View Country Club, 112 Country Club Road, Greensboro

Sat 7/21: Lyndonville Parade, 10 am parade start;meet at Powers Park,  Rte. 5  on the north side of town.

ALSO     Irasburg Parade, 7 pm parade start; meet on the west side of the Town Green.

Sat 7/28:Glover Day, Glover Town Green. 9:30 am Band, 11:00am show.

Sat 8/11:Craftsbury Parade, 1 pm parade start; meet at the Dustan Field parking lot outside of  Craftsbury Common.
