| About her - |  There are few artists in the field of Acting who marks their position with their distinctive talent, Tanima sen is one among them who not only establish her position but also stands as an example of motivation for those who wants to build their careerin the field of Acting.
She has versatile talent for acting in different role with excellence.  She has shown her excellence in Movies, TV-Serials as well as Theaters.
Not only in acting but also in script-writing she proved her talent. She was brought up from a well educated family in North Calcutta. She started her career after her marriage. | | Career - | In 1984 Tanima Sen started her career on theatre at Local & office club. At first she got her Inspiration from her mother. Her career started on Theatre. She has played different roles in many theatres, some of them are following : - Meghe Dhaka Tara (Character name : Nita, directed by Prabhanshu Sengupta.
- Rajdarshan (she played a role as an old woman as well as a young lady).
 After 1985 she staged at star Theatre named “Baluchari” which was continued for 500 nights. Other play was “Kacher Putul”, “Swikarakti”, “Ghar- Jamai” (1989) etc.- "Swarger Kache" her own written play Which staged at Rangmahal.Afterthat she started her own group "Shyambazar Apalak" in 1994.where her Scripting ability was appreciated by all.Not only in script writing but also in acting on that group she also shown her excellence.
- Her first casting serial was at Doordarshan "Jodi Emon Hoto" directed by Basu Chatterjee in 1995-96.
- Her popular mega serial was "Janmabhumi" which was tele-casted at Doordarshan.”Roopkatha” was also another popular tele-serial in 1997.
- On Serial "Ramkrishna" she played the role of Vairabhi on DD-1 in 1998-99."Asha", "AkashChowa" on DD1,"Ogo Priyotama" on DD-1,"Bhavanipurer Chaturjje", "1No.Messbari", "Spandan", "Ananya" and many more.
- She acted in many Films some of them are "Path-O-Prasad" directed by Tarun Majumder (Her first film), "Srimati Hansaraj", "Kecho Khurte Keote" directed by Chiranjit."Bar Asbe Ekhoni", "Bandhu Eso Tumi", "Prem by Chance"and many more.

- Another Magazine named “INDIA DOOT” which is published in INDIA & U.S.Aby P.N.G Publication where her written story named “Muktir Swad Lona” has published in 2010.
- Her another achievements was her selection in the play of “MATANGINI HAZRA”directed by Satyabrata Mukherjee. Which was telecasted at Delhi Doordarshan on celebrating 50 years of Indian Independence and she was selected from 75 candidates of Delhi as well as of Kolkata.
