It's almost impossible to think about the survival-horror landscape without mentioning Resident Evil, so, I'll make this quick. Nintendo may have snagged the Resident Evil series for the next five years or so, but it's really no worry. Why? Because of Silent Hill 2. Even Shinji Mikame, who created the Resident Evil series, admitted that the RE series needs to return to its roots, to start over. Thankfully, Konami has emerged from a long, dark slumber with Silent Hill 2, a survival-horror game that is sure to freak the crap out of those who play it.
