Working professionals and other students enrolled at the USC School of Policy, Planning, and Development can earn aMaster of Public Administration (MPA) just a few blocks from the California State Capitol in Sacramento. The MPA Sacramento program provides students with a unique opportunity to build relationships with policymakers, agency directors, association executives, and other influential California leaders.
All courses for the MPA Sacramento program are taught in an intensive format that accommodates the schedules of working professionals and other busy people. Each course for the program is taught for eight full days that are divided into two four-day blocks. Usually courses are scheduled Thursday through Sunday in blocks that are one month apart. Prior to their classes, students read and prepare assignments.
In addition to asuperior graduate education, the MPA Sacramento program provides students and alumni withcareer advising and placement services.Policy career and alumni events afford students with opportunities to network with professionals from the public, private and nonprofit sectors.
SPPD actively influences the Sacramento policymaking community by leading policy outreach activities and providing leadership and executive education programs.
