- registration in person in our town social service centers;
- for probation officers' referrals, prior appointment for admission is required;
- registered applicants will be arranged to attend a pre-admission orientation programme in our social service center before admission ;

| Detoxification cum Motivation Assessment Phase: 3 weeks of intensive medical care and individual counseling; |

| Special Features of the Treatment Programme | | SKC adopts the Therapeutic Community Model in (1) rehabilitated abusers are employed as group leader to serve as role model for the residents undergoing treatment; (2) residents are encouraged to take active role in the management of the Centre; (3) senior residents are encouraged to take up more responsibilities such as assisting the group leader in the taking care of new comers and the house routines; and (4) residents are required to attend the Assessment Board monthly for review and assessment of their rehabilitation progress. |
