In the middle of a routine shopping trip on Coruscant, C-3PO is abducted by the bounty hunter Cad Bane. Bane is looking for information about the Senate building on behalf of Jabba the Hutt. R2-D2 joins C-3PO in the streets of Coruscant on a shopping trip. Distracted by the pleasures of a droid spa, Artoo is separated from Threepio, who is kidnapped by Cad Bane. The little astromech is also eventually captured by Bane, surrendering himself in the hopes of saving his protocol droid pal.
Padmé is hosting a banquet on Coruscant in honor of Senator Aang, a member of the Military Oversight Committee. Because it is important that the event goes well, she becomes worried when an essential detail of protocol -- the garnish on the dessert cake -- is not available.
To lure the droids into a trap, Cad Bane dispatches his helpful techno-service droid, Todo 360. The smooth-talking chipper little droid makes a compelling case for R2-D2 to visit a droid spa, a calculated move that separates the duo and leaves them vulnerable.
