"My name is Karen Taylor (took back my maiden name), Class of 1959.
My father is William Taylor who was a teacher, Vice Principal and Principal of the Culver City Jr. High. He retired in 1978 and is celebrating his 100th birthday on Saturday Feb. 5th. at our local church.
The 2011 yearbook is a special edition celebrating the 60th anniversary of the school. We are expecting there to be a large demand, as alumni are included as well as today's students. Subsequently, we are considering whether to increase the quantity of our usual order. The publisher deadline for increasing the quantity is January 28. In order to make sure we do not overestimate the demand and end up with leftovers we hope to sell at least 20 books by then.
Considering that the book completely sold out last year we want to make sure that everyone who would want a book can get one. The price is currently $105 and $100 w/ASB. Plans for our 50th reunion are progressing and it is going to be an event you don’t want to miss.
It will be held September 23-25, 2011 at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Culver City.
The Culver City High School Olympian Staff (year book) are looking for old photos to include in the coming years Olympian which is to be a celebration of the High Schools Sixty year birthday. They are asking Alumni from the 50s to 70s to either send photos with captions or authorization to use photos of your self in the various Olympians of the era. For further information contact
