Sorry but I don't get it. I think it's clear how technology can make anyone sound good. Perhaps i'm just tone deaf :-)

What happened today, Cee lo green was great, but we couldn't hear the backing vocalists, did Fearne press the wrong button earlier in the day when she was messing with the refurb?

Are you sure there were meant to be backing vocals? I thought it sounded great just him and the live music!

This man is a pure unadulterated, and rare talent. Live Lounge and the BBC - thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to hear gems like these two by Cee Lo, fantastic stuff that I will watch again and again in the coming days and weeks.

I think these are two great stripped back perfomances - great vocals, tight band. Real music no studio trickery in sight orr sound. Ace.

Apart from the fact that this recording was totally butchered technically
Did anyone actually hear it live ???
Cee Lo accidentally slipped back into the original version - just on the very 1st line of the 1st chorus.
Not that I personally am offended by that in itself - what really does grind, is the fact that the lovely Miss Cotton, instead of admitting and apologising for the obviously genuine and understandable mistake.
Chose instead to insult the hearing capabilities and intelligence of all the live lounge listeners by deliberately and pointedly ignoring the slip and advising Mr. green that there was nothing to apologise for even when he offered in the interview afterwards.
Did the BBC producers realistically think that no-one else would be recording this performance ?

Couple of things. I heard this live with Fearne and I am almost CERTAIN Cee Lo Said the "eff" word on the first chorus of this performance. The band even somewhat slowed down after the expletive. But hey. Can't beast the BBC for re-recording a version for the web eh?

Also. I don't understand how nor why this guy is so highly rated. Yes his voice is different but for crying out loud it isn't credible for this acclaim. Lest we forget the one hit wonder this guy got for Gnarls. Albeit a long lived one hit. But I digress.

Cee Lo butchered a fresh Kings song and we are led to believe it is something godly. But no.

It wasn't good. The guy swore so blatently on our national broadcast; and Fearne (bless her) didn't even acknowledge this. I'm sure that was a calling from the PR above.

      Ah well.

Let's get some good shizzle back to the LL :)

Not that I am a massive fan of "forget you" or much of what Cee Lo does these days but to all those on this board going on about "one hit wonder" and "not credible" etc, I would suggest you did a bit of research and learnt a bit of hip hop history. Believe it or not Cee Lo did not suddenly appear on the scene when Crazy happenned to get used on a BBC advert! He has been putting in work and putting out quality records in the hip hop scene for over 16 years. If any of you own the very first Outkast album from way back in 1994 - check out the first verse of "Git Up Git Out" for a rapping introduction to an incredibly talented emcee. Following on from this he was a prominent member of Southern rap group The Goodie Mob, signed to LA Reid's LA Face records (TLC, Outkast, Pink etc) who made what was in my opinion a classic hip hop album with "Soul Food" in 1995 - alongside two other pretty good efforts. After this there were two solo albums (that saw him work with Pharell Williams, Timbaland and the Neptunes amongst others). Then Gnarls Barkley - then his latest offering... So to suggest he is something of a flash in the pan really doesn't do justice to someone who has graduated from the hip hop scene with honours and is now reaping the financial benfits of the pop scene. From a selfish perspective I wish he had stayed underground and stuck with rapping but the fact is, a talent like his deserves the spotlight and the acclaime he is getting.
