Have to agree with TItanic. Titanic was defnitely overrated. As for Million dollar baby, I really liked that movie. So I don't agree with you mofojules. What movie do you think, should have won the oscar ?

Titanic is one of the most over-rated films of all time. It's a 3 hour movie and it takes 2 and a half of those hours for them to hit the damn iceberg!! No one has ever been able to explain to me why the movie needed to be that long.

Actually, I have seen other Clint movies. Pink Cadillac and Dirty Harry. Pink Cadillac was in my top twenty worst movies, and Dirty Harry was in my top fourty best movies, but I don't think he did a great acting job in it.

Are there some other really cool Clint movies that I should see that might change my opinion about him??? Cause from what I've already seen (which isn't a lot) I don't like him.

I agree. Seeing that in the Top 5 Lists of many 'critics' is crazy. The first LOTR was the best, but they are all overrated. I don't know about overrated, but the worst best picture winners are:
Titanic
Out of Africa
Around the World in 80 Days
Broadway Melody
The Greatest Show on Earth
Dances With Wolves

i absolutly agree. It is a musical and hollywood loves musicals they see them as exotic freaks that come around every once in a blue moon so they must be great. That piece of sh!t had no place winning that award especially up against movies like The Pianist, Road to Perdition, Gangs of New York, catch me if you can, and LOTR the two towers.

some others: The English Paitent and Rain Man (i love rain man, but it was no best picture)

and i remember literally smashing a glass snapple bottle on my knee when titanic beat L.A. Confidential in 1997. That movie freakin RULED.

I thought the movie was great, but as you all have said, I was surprised that it won best picture.

Anytime a musical comes out, it's guaranteed oscar buzz. We've got two coming out this year. The Producers and Rent. I've seen both on stage and they were both very good, so It will be interesting to see if any of them get nominated.
