Don't get confused by the strange name - the new MotoBlurTM service from Motorola offers a great feature for social media junkies - a single 'in-box' on the phone for all your messages and updates from Facebook, Twitter etc.

That means that with one quick glance and you'll see what's changed in your social media world rather than having to log into all the different applications / sites for these services.

MotoBlur ™is the latest push from Motorola, a phone manufacturer which had previously seen its best days with the popular RAZR phone. Since the RAZR, Apple has blasted into the market with the iPhone whilst Google released its own operating system for mobile phones to compete against the slick features of the iPhone, called the Google Android operating system (OS).

As such, many new phones from manufacturers (like Motorola, Samsung, and HTC) feature the Google Android operating system - the operating system controls how the phone works, and more importantly, how you work with it.

To add their own special sauce, manufacturers are then adding specific software extensions on top of these specific models - this is what MotoBlur is - an extension of this core Android operating system with an enhancement for social media.
